What’s your motto for the week?

💬 Here comes the weekly dose of cloud cost efficiency discussion 💬
Hi there,
As a founder, I’ve learned some simple but valuable lessons, which I’d love to share:
Do sales every day. Consistency is key.
Complete the boring tasks. They may not be fun, but they matter!
Be patient. Success takes time.
What’s your motto for the week?
💸 What’s Hiding in Your AWS Bill?
When was the last time you took a deep dive into your AWS bill? If it didn’t go up significantly, chances are you just paid it without checking. Sound familiar?

The truth is, there’s often room for improvement, but it’s hard to find. That’s why I’m thinking of offering a new service - an AWS bill audit! We’ll give your cloud spending a cost-efficiency rating, much like website PageSpeed performance scores:
6.4/10 – Needs some work.
8.7/10 – Pretty solid, but could be better.
2.3/10 – Major problems, needs attention ASAP!
Wouldn’t it be great to know where your money could be better spent?
🌥️ Cloud Computing in 2033—Are You Ready?
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? If you're unsure, you’re not alone. But here’s something we can be sure of: cloud computing will only grow.
The market is projected to grow four times its current size, meaning even more companies will need help managing their cloud spend. For me, that’s an exciting challenge—more savings for clients, more growth for everyone!
Let’s embrace this growth together.

🏰 FinOps: Your Guide to the Magic Kingdom of Savings
Can FinOps take you to Disney World? Not directly, but in a way, yes!

Imagine saving for that dream Disney trip. You need to budget for everyday expenses, some fun upgrades, and still set aside money for the big goal. FinOps works just like that for businesses!
It brings together your finance, tech, and business teams (like your family planning for Disney) to make sure you’re spending wisely. Instead of overspending on cloud services you don’t need, your company can save money and hit those big goals—like launching a new product or expanding your market reach.
🔧 Friday Deployments: Handle with Care!
Who else has a clear memory of a fix, deployment, or change on a Friday that you'll never forget?

Seniors may already know these, but here are a few general tips for juniors. Your on-call teammates will thank you!
Avoid making major system changes unless absolutely necessary.
Avoid deploying new applications or services that haven’t been fully tested.
Avoid starting large data migrations or backups late in the day.
Avoid changing firewall rules or access controls.
Avoid leaving unresolved critical alerts.
Avoid introducing new automation scripts unless they’ve been fully tested and verified.
Avoid neglecting proper documentation.
Would you add anything to the list above?
Fridays: stability first, changes last!
That's all for this week!
